NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — SC Works Trident is partnering with economic development leaders from Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties to host four workforce career fairs in September as part of Workforce Development Month throughout South Carolina.
Each county economic development department will co-host a job fair to maximize opportunities
for job seekers to connect with the region’s top private- and public-sector employers and learn
more about open positions. Pre-registration is not required.
- Berkeley County Workforce Career Fair: Thursday, September 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Berkeley County Administration Building, 1003 Highway 52, in Moncks Corner.
- Charleston County Workforce Career Fair: Wednesday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ECPI University, 3800 Paramount Drive, in North Charleston.
- Dorchester County Workforce Career Fair: Thursday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rollins Edwards Community Center, 301 N. Hickory Street, in Summerville.
- Public Service Career Fair: Wednesday, September 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charleston Area Convention Center, 5001 Coliseum Drive, in North Charleston.
To capitalize on the benefits of the event, attendees should observe the following guidelines:
- Bring an updated resume to each career fair.
- Be prepared for an on-site interview or to apply on-the-spot.
- Follow-up with employers after the event and email an updated resume if needed.
SC Works Trident is available to provide resume assistance to job seekers before the events.
Workforce Development Month was started by Governor McMaster to highlight the talent of
South Carolina’s workforce, promote more opportunities to connect job seekers with employers,
and celebrate the vibrant industries throughout the state.
